Harwich and Dovercourt Choral Society was first mentioned in the press in 1891 and has been bringing pleasure to many people through its singing and social activities ever since

The only breaks in its activities occured during the first and second World Wars. In its present form the Society has been in existence since 1921 and for many years was a member of the Essex Musical Association.

New members are always welcome, no auditions are necessary but some musical knowledge and the ability to sing in tune would be advantageous !

The Society regularly features in the Harwich Festival
